Back garden with garden furniture. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. This large, semi-detached bungalow is adjacent to the owners’ home and situated at the end of a quiet country lane on the owner’s land. It is surrounded by rolling countryside which leads to fantastic views to Corsewall Lighthouse and over the sea to Arran and the Mull of Kintyre. With three good sized bedrooms, one benefitting from a large shower en-suite. There is a fantastic living room with wood burner for those cold evenings and a large kitchen/dining room for those evenings when you want to entertain. The lawned garden is on the side of the property and has amazing views.
This coastline is just stunning with clifftop walks and some beautiful sandy beaches including Killantringan, Sandhead and Port Logan. The rspb Mull of Galloway with thousands of nesting birds is nearby and is very popular with bird watchers, as is the information centre. The area is ideal for walking, cycling and fishing and there are also several excellent golf courses close by. There are many coastal villages to explore in the area, all steeped in history. Why not enjoy a day out at Drummore, a traditional fishing village with beautiful beaches and a quaint harbour? Portpatrick close by has a lovely harbour, some local arts and crafts outlets and amazing restaurants.
The town of Stranraer is nearby and offers main shops, restaurants and pubs. You can easily also enjoy a day trip to Ireland that can be taken from Cairnryan, just on the other side of Loch Ryan.

Little Glengyre Farm is in the remote countryside near Stranraer and is next to the owners of the farm. We wanted a quiet and remote location so that we could have a peaceful week most of all. In February the weather is expected to be decidedly mixed and it was, although we did get two lovely sunny days, one of which we spent in Girvan with is only an hour away. The property itself is excellent, very spacious throughout. 3 large bedrooms (2x King and 1 room with twin beds). 2 Bathroom (1 ensuite), large living room and large kitchen diner + utility room (between them every possible appliance including large gas/electric range cooker.) Furniture is high quality, solid, pleasing to the eye and feel. TV and WIFI really good (you may have to reset the router occasionally). There is a large bookcase with a big selection of local maps, board games, dvd & blue ray. There are large windows throughout which allow you to look out across the expanses of quiet solitude of fields and the occasional animal. (Shetland ponies, sheep and occasional horse). There is also a table with bonoculars and a birdwatching book in the lounge. There are some dogs on the farm, so you will need to keep yours on a lead, but this is normal on all farms, but again you hardly noticed them apart from the very occasional bark. Kate in the farm was very welcoming and very unobtrusive. Absolutely no issues of noise or being overlooked in anyway whatso ever. A really comfortable and quiet stay which is what we needed.
