Kilmartin village is rich in archaeological and historical remains of Neolithic and early Bronze Age monuments. Visit standing stones, burial cairns, castles and famous gardens. Explore the Mull of Kintyre and Islay or catch the passenger ferry from Tayvallich to the island of Jura (summer only) and sail from Oban to Mull and Iona. Cycling, fishing, sailing and golf are close by or enjoy leisurely walks along the banks of the Crinan Canal. The small town of Lochgilphead is 8 miles south and the bustling town of Oban is 30 miles north. Idyllic, for both humans and doggies. The owner, Sandy, made us feel so welcome, and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was extremely well kitted out, so we couldn’t have asked for more. It felt like a home away from home… but better. It was also great value for money. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful time away.

Great location for visiting the standing stones and historical offerings of Kilmartin. Comfortable and clean accommodation with all home comforts. Host very friendly and lives on site so no problems whatsoever. Recommended without question.
